The Police Officers of Scottsdale Association scored a victory at the Scottsdale City Council meeting Sept. 22nd as POSA and AZCOPS members filled the Council room.

In a 4-3 vote, the Council decided to re-evaluate City Manager John Little in 90 days as opposed to terminating his employment as was expected. POSA President James Hill, who issued an appeal to AZCOPS members yesterday to attend the Council meeting as a show of support, said the Association was the only employee group to speak on Little’s behalf.

“I believe we tipped the scales in John’s favor,” Hill said Wednesday. “The presence of Association members made the difference.”

He said many members who were unable to attend watched the meeting on television and sent him text messages throughout the evening.

Little, who has been a friend to Scottsdale police officers, had come under fire by the Mayor and POSA expected he would be fired by the Council yesterday. (See Original Story Below)
